yakov_a_jerkov — 23.10.2019 Во-первых, еще раз призываю всех, кто интересуется текущей ситуацией, прочитать вступительное слово исполняющего обязанности посла США в Украине, Билла Тэйлора. Это чрезвычайно важный документ. Вот он в лучшем качестве.

There was no quid pro quo. Today was just more triple hearsay.Как видите, в этом заявлении нет никакого возражения по существу. Вообще. Интересно в нем только новое словосочетание "radical unelected bureaucrats". Тэйлор, напомню, назначен выполнять обязанности посла в Украине трамповской администрацией. Он заменил, изгнанную Джулиани и компанией Йованович.

Или вот сегодняшняя статья в WaPo -- "There is nothing wrong with quid pro quos. It just depends what the quo is."

Конечно, шансы на то, что Трамп будет в итоге removed Конгрессом остаются очень низкими. Но я бы не назвал в данный момент removal невозможным. И сегодняшний ответ Макконнелла очень примечателен. Он мог бы, отвечая на вопрос "так что же Трамп соврал?", сказать что-то вроде "конечно, нет, как вы можете, просто путанница произошла" или еще что придумать. Но он ответил так, как ответил.
