continuation from part II.
Of the twenty-four polonaises by Prince Michał Kleofas, one of my favourites is the D minor polonaise based on the Belarusian folk song Sirotinushka. I truly liked its performance by the Moscow pianist Stanislav, who writes in LiveJournal how Saggitario. I know nothing about the Belarusian song. Abstracting from the polonaise's name (meaning Orphan), for me the music is a glimpse into current life, memories and perhaps shadows of Kościuszko. Lightly tapping keys even add some flavour. With this entry in Live Journal, I want to make friends with the wonderful performer.
