Сенатор-республиканец, Ben Sasse, правильно говорит:

Based on what I've read in their filings, when Trump campaign lawyers have stood before courts under oath, they have repeatedly refused to actually allege grand fraud—because there are legal consequences for lying to judges.

Совершенно верно, трамповские адвокаты не делают эти дикие заявление в суде, поскольку да, "there are legal consequences for lying to judges". Они их делают на публику, и трамписты с радостью "follow their master into dementia".

Впрочем, то, что даже Карлсон пытается дистанцироваться от совсем уж откровенного бреда... Я согласен с тем, как Benjy Sarlin прокомментировал сегоняшнее выступление Карлсона:

This is the actual story they’re going with to throw out entire cities worth of votes, it’s not “Rudy being Rudy!” no matter how embarrassing that is to some of the presidents allies. The RNC is quite proud of his team’s work, that’s why they’re actively promoting it today.
