Hello Vasiliy,

Each year on 3rd December we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).

For IDPD 2021, the theme is “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.”

We are proud to be a part of the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the biggest alliance of organisations of persons with disabilities working together for an inclusive society that values diversity.

The motto of the disability movement is "Nothing about us, without us!" and it indicates the reality that persons with disabilities must be involved in all decisions that affect their lives, not only as people with disabilities.

People with disabilities have the right to raise their voices and be meaningfully included in political life, economics, climate action, housing policies, sports and all the other parts of life.

Through the first IDA Global Survey, we found that people with disabilities are increasingly consulted but their participation is not yet meaningful.

The 2nd IDA Global Survey is currently open to responses so that we can learn what has changed in the last 2 years.

By working together we want to make participation meaningful and disability inclusion a reality.
