doktor_killer — 11.01.2014 Накануне сочинской олимпиады американское внешнеполитическое ведомство выпустило специальные памятки для американских туристов, собирающихся посетить РФ.
  В числе прочего, там сказано:
  MEDICAL CARE: The Olympics are the first large-scale event to be held in Sochi and medical capacity and infrastructure in the region are untested for handling the volume of visitors expected for the Olympics. Medical care in many Russian localities differs substantially from Western standards due to differing practices and approaches to primary care. Travelers should consider purchasing private medical evacuation and/or repatriation insurance. пруф №1.
  Check your overseas medical insurance coverage to ensure you are covered abroad and you have coverage for medical evacuation should medical evacuation be necessary. Travelers should be aware that the Olympics are the first large-scale event to be held in Sochi and medical capacity and infrastructure in Sochi are untested for handling the volume of visitors expected for the Olympics.   Кратко: госдеп рекомендует гражданам предусмотреть в своей медицинской страховке "возможность мед. эвакуации" на родину, отмечая, что стандарты российской медпомощи "существенно отличаются" от западных, в частности в практических подходах к оказанию первой помощи (намекая тем самым, что лучше не попадать в руки отечественных убивцев вообще), и что медицинская инфраструктура города и региона не проверялась в условиях массового притока приезжих, поэтому неизвестно как будет функционировать.
