lookfantastic.com
virtualshopping — 21.03.2011
Я решила поделиться с народом, вдруг кому будет полезно =)Знаю, что здесь немало поклонников этого магазина, возможно мне просто не повезло, поэтому я не стала одним из них.
В продолжение вот этой истории community.livejournal.com/virtualshopping/7649670.html
On all Clarins products there is a six-digit number, a batch number,
that can be found in three places. This batch number can be found on
the carton in black ink or indented into the carton, on the product
(on the bottom in black ink or in the crimp of tube packaging), and/or
on the Client Card that can be sent back to Clarins with your
feedback. This batch number tells you when a product was made and in
which batch of product it came from. For example, if a product had a
batch number of 901456, it is read as follows:
9-the year the products was produced, 2009
01-the month the product was produced, January
456-the batch it came from.
Clarins products have a three-year shelf life, unopened. The example
above is good until January 2012, unopened.
A specific symbol now appears on all product packaging (outer carton)
and lets you know how long you can use your product after opening.
This PAO (period after opening) is indicated within an open jar
illustration that has a number inside followed by the letter M. For
example, 12M corresponds to 12 months, that is, the product should be
used within a year after opening. However, it is very important that
products be stored with their caps closed well, away from heat and
light. Certain cosmetic products (perfume, eau de toilette, atomizers)
are exempt from this information and therefore do not display a PAO
symbol on their packaging.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Aveda.
In response to your question, the shelf-life of our products is at least three years from the date of manufacture, provided they are not exposed to extremes of temperature. The only exceptions are mascara and self-tanners, which should be replaced six months after opening. All of our products undergo rigorous stability testing, to ensure their efficacy and quality during these periods.
lookfantastic.com is not an authorized retailer of Aveda and we cannot guarantee the authenticity or performance of products purchased at their locations. The sale of Aveda products through unauthorized businesses is called diversion and it is a rampant challenge in the entire professional beauty industry. Indeed, in our research, the products sold at these locations are frequently very old, and in some cases contain product that is not even Aveda. Finally, you will almost always pay a higher price for product at these locations than if you purchased them through an authorized retailer.
Aveda is committed to preventing diversion wherever possible. Please be assured that purchasing Aveda products at authorized salons, spas, Experience Centers and Aveda.com is the only way to be guaranteed the legitimate Aveda experience.
Should you need further assistance, please contact our Consumer Relations team at 800.328.0849 between 8am-5:30pm Central Standard Time to speak with a Customer Service Representative.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns.Sincerely,
